Zeeshan Ansari is a leg-spinner who represents Uttar Pradesh in India’s domestic cricket circuit. He has featured in five First-Class matches and a solitary T20 encounter, though he is yet to make his debut in the List-A format. In his five First-Class appearances, Ansari has claimed 17 wickets, showcasing his potential with the red ball. His consistency and ability to pick wickets in the middle overs caught the attention of the SRH management, leading to his signing for ₹40 lakhs at the IPL 2025 auction.
He first rose to national attention as part of India’s squad in the 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where his control and spin variations impressed observers. A first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh followed in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy season, and he made his T20 debut a year later in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. While he didn’t get many opportunities in the domestic T20 circuit initially, his breakthrough came in the 2024 Uttar Pradesh T20 League.
