After missing out on the IPL 2025 season due to injury, Ruturaj Gaikwad reacts to the following return of MS Dhoni as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Ruturaj, who was given the captaincy at the beginning of the season, suffered a finger injury during a match against Punjab Kings. After medical tests, it was confirmed that he would not be able to continue in the tournament. This sudden change led the CSK management to bring back the most trusted and experienced leader.

MS Dhoni Back as CSK Captain

MS Dhoni transferred the captaincy to Ruturaj in July of this year, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the next generation. Following his injury and subsequent replacement as captain of CSK, Ruturaj shared his feelings with fans via a social media post, reflecting on the situation and the transition.

According to Ruturaj’s emotional post on social media: “Gutted to be missing out on the rest of the season due to injury. It’s hard to sit out when all you want is to be out there, playing for the badge and giving your all for the team.” However, Ruturaj might have been disappointed but still showed full support to the team and Dhoni. “Will be rooting for the boys and wishing them the best for the upcoming games. Thank you for all the love and support.”

Fans were thrilled to see Dhoni wearing the captain’s armband again. Social media platforms were flooded with emotional reactions and excitement. Many believe that Dhoni’s return could give CSK the push they need to stay strong in the tournament. And it revives the old Novo Thalaic and “Thala” fans once again.
